Brief Answer: DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Chronic Stuffy Nose and Excessive saliva (during day & night) are NOT directly related to VULVODYNIA. However, Allergic Reaction, Common cold, Auto-immune disease, Viral infection, Chronic Rhinitis, Sinusitis, Deviated Nasal Septum, Nasal Polyp, Empty Nose syndrome etc should be ruled out in this context. GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) is an important cause of excessive salivation. Indigestion problem and acidity are associated factors. Here, I suggest you to undergo one clinical examination to ENT specialist and proceed some investigations like 24-Ph monitoring (GERD), Digital X-ray of PNS, blood test etc to pinpoint the diagnosis. TREATMENT: Oxymetazoline and Phenylephrine are the drug of choice to treat this type of condition. They relieve congestion by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal cavity, thus resulting in relieved symptoms. H2 blocker like Ranitidine or Proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole in empty stomach will be effective to decrease excessive salivation. In addition, you must do regular 3-4 times brushing, use Hexidine mouth wash solution, take 4-6 small meal instead of large 3 meals, drink more water, avoid mental stress and take sound sleep. Hope, this information is quite helpful to you. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. Wish your good health and take care yourself.
