Brief Answer:
More likely withdrawal bleed...

Detailed Answer:
Well, in my opinion it was spotting secondary to implanon withdrawal. I am more than convinced it isn't implantation bleed due to the following two reasons:
1. Implantation occurs atleast a week following unprotected sexual intercourse. And 2 days is too early to see implantation.
2. Ovulation is an absolute prerequisite for pregnancy and implantation. And ovulation takes place atleast (minimum of) 10 days after contraceptive withdrawal. Moreover in some women ovulation only happens a cycle or two after implanon withdrawal.

Therefore in all likely possibilities, this was withdrawal bleed secondary to hormone changes.

Hope I am clear. Feel free to ask for clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Pre and menstrual cramps...

Detailed Answer:
At the moment the only cause I can name is premenstrual and menstrual cramps. One may develop cramps and irregular flow due to hormonal disturbance which is quite common close to implanon expiry and removal. So based on your description, this possibly looks likely too.

Other local cervical and uterine causes that mimic your symptoms can be ruled out by physical checkup, per vaginal/perspeculam examination and ultrasound test. I suggest you get these done if subsequent cycles remain cramps and irregular.

Hope this answers your question.

Brief Answer:
Antispasmodic are better choice...

Detailed Answer:
I understand your concern. Sometimes menstrual cramps are extremely painful. But the cramps characteristically reduce in a few days as period reduces. In the meanwhile I add antispasmodic drug like dicyclomine (bentyl) to treat cramps. The antispasmodic with pain drug combination works well in such cases. I'm not sure you will get antispasmodic over the counter. Check with your local GP or at urgent care clinic for a prescription.

There are home measures which may provide some relief. You can try hot water bag and see if it helps.

Hope this helps.
