Brief Answer:
A photo and further information are needed as following...

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I am sorry for the situation you are going through.

The swelling all sides below the knee associated with splotchy redness are indicative for possible skin infection (erysipela) in worst of cases.

However, other pathologies like:
- allergy
- staying sit or standing for too long
- kidney problems
- occlusion of blood vessels of the legs

should be also ruled out through:
- urine analysis
- complete blood count
- Echo Doppler of the blood vessels in the lower limbs
- X-ray of the knee to exclude arthritis
- cardiac tests; ECG, echocardiogram
- liver/kidney function tests
- blood electrolytes

Can you please provide a photo of the swollen and red leg below your knee? That can help me assist you further and better.

For the moment, I advise to:
- do not stay in staying position for too long
- raise your legs whenever possible
- apply cold compresses locally
- take NSAIDs orally to reduce inflammation
- reduce salt intake

If you notice that the swelling will become worst, then, should go to ER for immediate evaluation and treatment as cannot wait until Monday when you'll see your MD.

Hope it was of help!
