Brief Answer:
Yes you need to see a gastroenterologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Splenomegaly is not associated with a simple fatty liver. But XXXXXXX over a period of time can lead to cirrhosis of liver and portal hypertension.
Splenomegaly is a feature of portal hypertension.
So you need to undergo tests for portal hypertension. A portal doppler scan and an upper GI endoscopy are to be done.

You can consult a gastroenterologist to rule out portal hypertension.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
