What Causes Soreness In The Cheekbone After Tooth Extraction?
Question: Hi! I just had my wisdom teeth extracted exactly a week ago and I saw my oral surgeon for a follow-up and everything is clear of infection. Pain overall stopped but there is a soreness on the cheek bone (left and right) that makes me feel uncomfortable, but doesn't pain exactly. Is this normal?

Soreness in your cheek bone is due to inflammation or swelling of the tissues of your oral cavity.
Now during extraction also your mouth would be open for long, contributing to the discomfort and the bleeding and pain would also make it worse.
The long and short of it is dont worry this is normal and will settle down in a week or two.
You could use Tab Paracetamol 500mg if the soreness is bothering you much.
