Brief Answer:
Keep warm, lozenges, simple painkillers and be watchful

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query to HCM

It is important to know if you used any caustic liquid or have experienced any gastro esophagal reflux lately. Do you have gastritis? An irritation of the esophagus could present as such.

Any history of recent viral infection like coryza (rhinitis) could explain this if accompanied by an inflammation of the throat. Fungal infections like Candida could also present as such . But it is unlikely in this case as is seen mainly in persons with immune depression.

A simple examination of the throat at times is sufficient . Keeping warm and use of simple menthol lozenges usually help and pain could fade out within a couple of days. However , you should watch out for any fever or painful and enlarged lymph nodes as this could indicate a bacterial infection often requiring antibiotics.

For now, I suggest keeping warm and using lozenges and simple pain killers like Acetaminophen for a couple of days. If no amelioration, you might have to consult your primary care doctor.

It s too early to bother.

Kind regards as I wish you the best of health.

Brief Answer:
Too early to bother so much, nerve supply can fake real origin of pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the follow up

Pain from one area of the body could falsely seem to originate from another . This is based on the nerve supply system in the body.

A physical examination from your doctor remains compelling.

However, too early to be so worried .

Just follow the advises which I've already mentioned in my previous reply and get back to me in case of any further queries.

kind regards
