Brief Answer:
Fissure-in-ano
Detailed Answer:
Hi .
This is a classical finding of a condition called '' fissure-in-ano''.
Your history and findings you noted are suggestive of this.
If this is there for a small duration of time , say days and is there for the first time the treatment is easy.
You have to take a laxative like liquid
Cremaffin Plus about 2 teaspoonful at bed time to make the stool soft. Adjust the doses as required- you may have to increase or reduce the dose as per response of this medicine.
Add fibers to the diet, green leafy vegetables, ladies fingers.
Take a big tub in which you can sit comfortably. Add warm water to this tub, check the temperature of water with back of hand before you sit in. This is called ''Sitz bath'' and do this 2 to 4 times a day ( as per your schedule). This gives soothing effect.
If the motion ( stool) is very hard/ foul smelling / has mucus in it. It is better to consult a Surgeon to get a prescription based antibiotic and
metrogyl and other supportive medicines.
This in itself will give you a great relief and healing of the fissure. The skin tad may remain- it is no problem and do not sorry about the skin tag. It will not cause any problem in future.
IF your problem is chronic or recurrent , you still have to follow this advise , but at the same time you may have to go for a minor surgical procedure like anal dilatation under
anesthesia or the procedure your Surgeon advises you.
Remember- there are other associated reasons like
colitis / stressful life/ bad eating habits which may lead to this problem or enhance it.
Avoiding
constipation is very important.
I hope this information will help you in knowing you the problem and the guidelines for a cure and avoidance of recurrence( about 35 % recurrence rate is there).
