What Causes Small Circular Wart On The Penis?

default
Posted on Fri, 8 Jul 2016
Question: Hi, l went to my doctor because l had a light pink triangle type discolouration on my penis. It was very small and hard to find. it was only slightly lumpy but not hard. I went to my GP. he looked at it and said it was a Pearl and totally harmless. Then a week later, l spotted what looked like a small circular wart just slightly raised above the skin at the base of my penis. I went to the GP (different one as my own was away on holidays and the stand-in GP had replaced him). This GP looked at it and said that it was fungus possibly caused by sweat. He told me to apply Travocort Cream 3 times a day both on the pearl mark and also on this fungus lump which wasn't hard and under the skin. I put the cream on lightly since last Friday as instructed. Now tonight, after a shower, l got a terrible shock. the skin of my scrotum is a very dark red. It isn't itchy but its a very dark red (l never had itch in my groin). Now l don't know what to think - lm so frightened that l have cancer.

Brief Answer:
Suggestive of Papilloma virus infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome.
Thanks for posting your query on Health care magic.
After having gone through the history and the attached attached images of the affected area I am of the opinion that you seem to be suffering from human papilloma virus infection (HPV).
It is the most common sexually transmitted disease.
In most cases, it goes away on its own and does not cause any health problems. But when HPV does not go away, it can cause health problems like genital warts and cancer.
I, therefore advise you to consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and possible use of certain medications like Podofilox solution or Imiquimod cream.
Hope I could answer your query.
Best wishes.
