Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Welcome to health care magic!
I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.
First of all, it is sad to know about the problems that you have been facing lately. At the same time you seem brave to have tackled with colon cancer and knee complications with courage.
It is good to know that, your knee compilcations are been then care of and you have surgery and all been lined up. I hope it will give you significant relief from those symptoms relating to the knee.
I would recommend you to quit smoking. You can start to do so by decreasing the frequency and Increasing gaps between two cigarettes and gradually taper them to the level that you become able to get over his habbit.
The feelings of fatigue and generalised malaise can only be related to COPD if you are using the steroids or if the severity or the disease is so much that you have to get confined to the bed. Since your shortness of breath isn't that worst so I would suggest you to get antibiotic course for the symptoms of cough or sputum. Moxifloxacin would have been more appropriate choice. You need to get good control of COPD before going for surgery as otherwise surgery and anesthesia fitness will be difficult to attain.
Once knee problem is over and COPD is controlled, I hope such symptoms will decrease spontaneously. If not then think of visiting a psychiatrist.
Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
