Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencing lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it seems as if you have already been through alot. As far as, the shortness of breath is concerned, and with the recurrence of old respiratory tract illness signs, it necessitates the need to have a repeated chest examination, radiographs and basic infection work up like complete blood count, CRP and ESR as a chances of reinfection doe exist and hence should be ruled out.

Also with blood pressure surges any chance of fluid seeping into the lungs causing pulmonary edema and shortness if breath needs to be looked for with fresh chest Xray and echo cardiogram. If any signs of infection are detected, it may need a course of antibiotics, bronchodilators and anti histamines.

As far as blood pressure surges are concerned, and with history of adrenals and variations in blood pressure both postural and general, it necessitates the imminent need of a detailed endocrine cause instead of relying on primary diagnosis of primary hypertension and secondary causes should be ruled out with renal functions, renal doppler, thyroid functions, cortisol levels and if needed urinary metanephrines.

Meanwhile continue anti hypertensive and follow salt restriction and steam inhalations. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
