Brief Answer:
Not likely to be anginal pain

Detailed Answer:
Dear madam
Sharp shooting pain is not a characteristic of anginal pain. Occasionally a pain, which is exacerbated by deep inspiration or cough, may arise from inflammation of covering of heart. Such a pain may be sharp in nature. It would usually be associated with fever or cough. This pain would be more on lying down and less on bending forward.
A typical anginal pain comes on exertion or stress, lies behind breastbone or whole chest, more like heaviness and relieves by rest. A pain lasting less than a minute, increased by touch or pressure, or occurring in particular posture, increased by cough or deep breath is not likely to be anginal.
If you are having blood pressure >140/90 then you need to be concerned. In your case it may be due to pain or stress.
I suggest you see your primary to ascertain the cause of your symptoms.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to discuss more.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder

Brief Answer:
Life style modification.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam
Life style modification is important to maintain normal blood pressure. These include optimal weight (body mass index of 25 or lower), avoiding alcohol and smoking, daily supervised exercise, meditation and relaxation exercises, low salt diet which is rich in fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts.
And I would suggest you visit your primary doctor for clinical examination and to find out the cause of pain.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder

Thank you i will. It isn't like cringe worthy pain. but it is very sharp pain. i started having it today in the left side of my chest and middle. should i be worried? have you ever heard of Nattokinase? I've heard it will help lower blood pressure, cholesterol and what not.
Could any of this be due to stress or anxiety ?

Brief Answer:
sharp pains are unlikely to be anginal.

Detailed Answer:
Dear madam
As I told in the last answer, sharp pains are not anginal. They are more characteristic of neuronal pain especially if they are not long lasting. These may originate from spine diseases, lung covering inflammation or may be transient non specific pain. Associated features point towards the exact cause. Pain originating from spine are increased by cough, straining for defecation etc.
Yes, anxiety and stress may take form of such pains. However I will recommend ruling out physical causes first.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder

I think it is particular posture..what does that mean? Sometimes when i wake up in the morning it hurts to take deep breaths. not every morning.
Now the pain in my chest is going on throughout the day. it was just under my left breast a sharp shooting pain, like little pains every two seconds and then it went to the middle of my lower chest. is that something i should be worried about ?

Brief Answer:
muaculiskeletal pain to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Respected madam
The pain in particular posture mean that if you lie down on the side which has inflammation of covering of lung, it will be painful. But your description suggest local pain more, if you do not have other features of lung involvement like cough or fever.
The characteristic is that the area of pain will be Tender to touch or pressure.
I feel a simple examination by your GP will immensely help.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
