Brief Answer:
If just one episode, not a cause of concern.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

If just one episode of headache, I don't think you should worry.

If related or triggered by any jaw movement, it could be related to Temporimandibulary joint disfunction.

Another possibility could be blood pressure related headache.

Blood pressure should be measured for few days.

In addition, if you experienced stress lately, your headache could be stress-related.

If the headache repeats, you should consult a Neurologist.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Examination by a Neurologist needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

If you are sure that it was thunderclap pain and lasted at least one hour, you should consult with a Neurologist at the earliest. A detailed neurologic examination, and if supported by neurologic examination findings brain imaging studies is needed.

Hope I helped you.

Take care.

No it lasted ten mins and went away what is a thunderclap?
No it lasted about ten mins went away on and off could it be tmj?

Brief Answer:
It could be TMJ, or nerve.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

A thunderclap pain in head ( or the worst pain ever ), in a number of cases indicates serious conditions such subarachnoidal hemorrhage.

If you felt the pain OUTSIDE your brain, or under the skin, it is possible to be related to TMJ, or could be nerve pain.

If you felt the pain INSIDE your head, a neurologic examination needed to evaluate further your condition.

In my opinion, since the pain didn't last longer and was stopped by NSAID, it is most likely to be related to TMJ, or any nerve pain.

Hope I helped you. Best regards.

No not at all a sharp pain it just felt like a twitch/jerk on my right side of head.
It happened a two three times i took advil and it went away. no pain at all.
just like a jump/jerk pain
i think i am hypercontrica….or maybe i think i am 54 years old
and i am going to die of brain cancer or tumor.
I was just diagnosed with diverdiculitis and i must still be stressed.
i am never dizzy or sick etc. i am in good health. now all i do is worry about
my health!!!
It actually happened after movement with my head. It could be tmj or pain nerve.
What are your thoughts?

Brief Answer:
Not a serious condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.

Okay then, thanks for the clarifications.

Since there was no pain, just an uncontrollable movement, triggered by head and neck movement, it was most likely just an isolated episode of TMJ disfunction, or uncoordinated muscle movement.

Stress also can result in similar symptoms.

In this case you shouldn't worry about brain tumor or any other serious brain disease.

Just try to stay calm and don't overestimate this episode.

Hope I've been of help.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Yes, it is possible.

Detailed Answer:
Yes it is possible, that any uncontrolled movement of head and neck during sex, could trigger or predispose to further uncontrollable muscle or nerve action.

I agree that you have to move on.

Best regards.
