Question: Hi,

I went for a run yesterday morning and started feeling lightheaded towards the end of 30 minutes. I ended up feeling very lightheaded and when i showered I felt unsteady. Last night i felt a sharp pain in my forearm. It happened around 5 times, about 2-3 seconds long and minutes apart. Is this someything that i should be concerned about or does it just sound like nothing considering my clear ecgs and ct angiogram?

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your symptoms are related to PVC (premature heart beats) and you shouldn't worry about that.

As long as cardiac ecg and ct angiography were normal you shouldn't worry about.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

Hi back,

The shooting pain in your forearm as i said may be related to PVCs which are a common findings in premenstrual days.

It's normal to experience dizziness during premenstrual and menstrual cycle.

Hope this will be of help!

I ended up going back to the doctor on Sunday and they ran the regular tests and my heart enzymes and ecg was fine...I worked out yesterday (Sunday) and just did moderate weights and felt lightheaded. Is there anything else that would be causing me to feel dizzy during exercise that is life threatening? Could this be a valve or rhythm problem that wasn't caught on any of the heart enzyme tests or CT angiogram? Should I request an echo? I am so tired of feeling bad all the time and my worry is making it worse...I am even scared to run now.

Hi back,

There's nothing life-threatening as long as ecg, blood work and cardiac ct was normal. You shouldn't worry about. Please stay calm because this will help to relieve your anxiety.

In order to definitely exclude any minor cardiac issues (most important to relieve and ease your concerns) you should do a holter monitoring and a cardiac echography.

Wish you health!
