What Causes Severe Pain In Hip Bone?
Question: Lately I have felt as if someone is standing on my left hip bone. It's almost as if I feel something growing there. I have had many, many back surgeries (spinal cord shwanoma) but never have I felt this type of pain. What are your thoughts? THANK YOU.

Hello,
I have studied your case.
I have sympathy for your chronic spine pain.
You may need to do MRI spine with contrast again to see for nerve compression or discitis.This may lead to radiating hip pain
Due to previous surgery of spine now there is possibility of discitis.
Localized hip pain may suggest hip arthritis or femoral head avascular necrosis.
MRI hip will help to diagnose. It can be done after clinical examination from your doctor. He may advise Ultrasonography if pelvic pain is suspected.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and TENS therapy will help
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
