What Causes Severe Pain And Numbness In Right Hand?

Question: I uaually sleep until 8 am. At apx 6am I wake up with severe pain in my right hand.It is numb and looks a little swollen. I can not make a fist with it .Pain and numbness last a few min. When im eating breakfast about 8;30 the fingers on this hand begin to get numb but if I flex them the numbness goes away.My PCDoc has no idea

I have gone through your query. Insect bite reaction can give such picture. Numbness you get is most likely from compression due to edema. Corticosteroid injections will be helpful in such case.

Elevation of hands. Ice pack application and NSAIDs like ibuprofen will be helpful. If thereis no improvement then a physical examination by orthopedian should be done to rule out any injury.
