What Causes Severe Leg Pain At Night?

Question: hi doctor
I am 30 years old female. since last 1 month i having severe leg pain in the middle of the night during 12.00 am till 4.00 am. the pain is so severe that i am unable to sleep. if someone press it then only i get to sleep. what may be the reason for it? and what should i do to get rid of this?

to clarify your doubt. i dont have back pain but rather have shoulder pain. I am not taking any medicines neither i am a smoker or alcoholic. pain arises in the night time only. is it caused due to any deficiency?

This can be due to serum B 12 deficiency

Hello,
This sudden pain can be due to vitamin B 12 deficiency. So I would recommend you following.
1.Take Pregabalin M tablet one daily.
2.Avoid sleeping on back and try to sleep one one side with knee folded.
3.Capsaicin ointment is also helpful.
