Could be due to acid peptic disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms,

Presence of severe heartburn is possibly due to Gastro-oesophageal reflux.
If the following criteria are fulfilled there is no cause for concern

1. No distension of abdomen
2. No blood in stools
3. No persistent vomiting

I would suggest you the following which will definitely be helpful

1. Continue Mylanta
2. Proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprozole and Prokinetic like Domperidone will be helpful in relieving symptoms
3. Soft diet
4. Probiotics
5. Consider addition of yoghurt or curd in your diet
6. Avoid Caffeinated/alcoholic/carbonated beverages: They will increase the reflux

Do keep me updated about your progress.

Take Care
