What Causes Severe Fatigue, Dizziness And Low BP?
I have now been to draw blood, I guess b12 and vitamins- and maybe some others, since I had to go to the hospital to do them. I am SO very frustrated. Would love to get some help to what I should ask my doctor to check. The only thing i know, is that I have low bloodpressure. And maybe a little low on some vitamins.
However. I have been "sick" for like 20 years, and the main issues is fatigue- but not the kind where I am tired. Its the kind where if I were to run, my legs would give up very shortly. No endurance in muscles, and I get very dizzy under straining exercises. My daughter has the same thing, where bloodpressure drops when physically active, like in PT (Gymnastics at school). I feel al is related to herat- as a heart failure (not stopping hert or heart attack, but it cant do its job good). But cardiologists has taken ECG, ultrasound etc and looks good. Just noticed some extra heartbeats, and an incomplete block that was not supposed to be dangerous. Even though I get extremely dizzy, and feel like fainting when active, loose power in muscles, and my daughter passes out when active. What can this be- since me and daughter has same thing? Please ask for followup questions and I will be very happy to give you more information !! Soon loosing faith in ever feeling better, and my daughter doesnt deserve to have this in her life.
Oh forgot to say. My mother has also trouble. For example she had to operate on her gland in her throat. I am thinking might be same I have, perhaps? Thyroid?
Or maybe something with the kidneys/Bi-Kidneys?
Hormone tests
Detailed Answer:
Sorry to note your challenges with health.
It is important to rule out some possible hormone-related causes of your symptoms, such as an under-active thyroid or vitamin d or adrenal insufficiency.
When I see someone like you in my practice, I typically order the following blood tests in addition to a detailed physical examination:
CBC (Complete Blood Count, also known as Hemogram; includes Hemoglobin, WBC and Platelet counts)
Electrolytes (Sodium and Potassium in particular)
HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin = your 3 month glucose average)
Liver function tests (SGOT , SGPT, Albumin, Bilirubin, Alkaline Phosphatase)
Kidney function tests (BUN, Creatinine)
TSH
Free T4
Serum Cortisol at 8 am
25 hydroxy Vitamin D
None of these tests require any fasting
