What Causes Severe Dizziness Post Intake Of Gabapentin Taken For Nerve Damage?
Question: I just began taking gabapentin for nerve damage. I am extremely dizzy and clumsy. I have had three today as prescribed, I have one kidney at stage 3. I am concerned about combination such as carvediloi, wellbutrin XL, and many other drugs I have prescribed for pain, depression, blood pressure, thyroid.

When Gabapentin is started, you always feel dizzy as it causes lot's of sedation.
In such case, i usually start it with bed time dose and gradually increase it according to the need of the patient.
In people who are intolerant to the bed time dose too, i prefer to give Pregabalin Sustained Relief (SR). Due to it's sustained release action, sedation , drowsiness and dizziness problem is very minimal and is usually tolerable.
Wellbutrin along with Gabapentin further increases the sedation problem.
