Brief Answer:
chances of clot is low

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to healthcare magic.

The pain will reduce slowly since the surgery involves opening her abdomen and peritoneum.

The pain will reduce by 1to 2 point on 10 scale on daily basis.

The chance of clot ( thrombus) formation is less as already its 2 days post operation. But chances exist though low.

Watch for sudden and extreme pain in legs especially calf region as a sign of clot formation.

To avoid clot let her fold and release her legs frequently while lying down.

She can get up and start walking with your help so that activity exists. Walking activity reduces clot formation chances significantly.

Brief Answer:
Overweight

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Since your niece is overweight, it is better for her to start walking as soon as possible.

Another option is to start heparin injectins which your doctor can prescribe. Please discuss with him.
