Brief Answer:
Fever and irritation in an infant

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Due to fever cheeks may be red but this is not a cause of concern.
Since little one is having fever , irritation and disturbed sleep ,all these symptoms may be due to teething ( as erupt at any time after 6 months of age and causes increase in temperature , hot forehead , sole and palm , particularly with mild irritation and sleep disturbance ) .
When such patient visit I prescribe paracetamol drops 10 mg / kg body weight whenever require .
Cold sponging on forehead.
Simethicone drops often relieve irritation and help in sleep ( dosage :10-20 drops 3-4 times daily 15 minutes before meal i.e. milk).
Still fever persists more than 3-4 days then consult a Paediatrician .
Hope this will help you.
Good luck .
