What Causes Recurring Pain In The Right Side Of Head?

default
Posted on Sat, 26 Jul 2014
Question: I have a recurring pain on the right side of my head for the past 3-4 days. Two tylenol will make it go away for about 6-8 hours, then it comes back. I call it "pinging" because it's intermittent, short but painful. Is this a type of migraine?

Brief Answer:
Most likely it is migraine

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. The most likely cause in your case could be a migraine. You can continue Tylenol for now.

However, if the headache continues beyond a week, it may be better to get a brain scan done to exclude other causes of headache, especially ischemia (lack of blood flow to brain).

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
