What Causes Recurring Cough And Cold In Infants?

Question: Mr daughter is 13 months and has recurring problem of cough and cold. She weighs 7.3kg. Dr initially started with ambrodil S (5ml) and lupihist (4ml) along with XXXXXXX (2.5ml). she ther is no recovery yet and her cough is getting worse Dr has now also asked to give her Omnicortil (0.8mg). Please advise if there are any side effects to the above medicines? envery time she get cough n cold the dr puts her on Ambrodil S and Lupihist. she has lost apetite and refuses to even drink milk. Please help!!

Omnacortil is a steroid.
But if given under medical supervision for short duration it is safe.
The other syrups also would help in relieving the cough and bringing out the secretions from respiratory passages.
But do enquire with your doctor about starting inhalers.
Inhaled steroids are much safer than oral omnacortil.
As she grows usually these allergic symptoms will decrease.
