Posted on Fri, 17 Jun 2016
Question: Hi,
I am XXXXX and currently 29 Years old.My problem is with throat infection .All this started 3-4 years back and since then I get throat infection every 15-20 Days . Its effecting my daily life all the time I am felling feverish and tired. When I get this ,it usually stays for 15 days. I tried everything some doctors said it could be because of sinus ,some said it is because of allergy .Had every Antibiotic available in market from amoxicillin to azithromycin and many more . Also anti allergic. However i used to get sick in childhood also due to Tonsillitis, but that stopped when I was around 15-16 Years old. I have gone through many tests also like throat swap and all but no results .
Now I want to know how this can be cured and what medicine I should use. For past some time I have stopped taking medicine and just do gargels and only goes to antibiotics when I get too much fever or it stays for too long.

Hope to get a satisfactory response from you .

Thanks,
XXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Get done annual influenza vaccine.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You are having recurrent upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
Common cause for this this is viral infection (influenza).
This can cause tonsillitis, adenoiditis, pharyngitis etc.
In recurrent cases, annual influenza vaccine is beneficial.
This vaccine will give protective immunity against common influenza virus which is responsible for URTI.
Please let me know
1. Have you ever taken influenza vaccine?
2. Did any doctor advised about tonsillectomy?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Thanks for your quick response .

Yes I took influenza vaccine in starting almost 3 years back but never again, one of doctors I seen recommended it to me and no one advised me about tonsillectomy.

If influenza vaccine can help , I will get that . Please advice from where I can get that .

I hope you can understand my situation , I am not able to live my normal life and always feeling sick . I have seen so many doctors but not getting cured this is also giving me stress and depression.

Thank Alot !!

Brief Answer:
You need to consult pulmonologist for this vaccine.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, you will mostly improve with influenza vaccine.
It gives protection for 1 year. So this vaccine should be repeated annually.
And you should take it regularly (annually).
For this vaccine, you should consult pulmonologist.
Also consult ENT doctor and get done clinical examination of tonsils, adenoids and pharynx.
If tonsils and adenoids are enlarged then you should remove them to prevent recurrent attacks.
Hope I have solved your query.
