Brief Answer:
May be fungal infection. Observation required
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I went through the query and understood your concern.
With the explanation, I like to rule out fungal infection, wart and early stage of Condyloma acuminatum.
If fungal lesion, you may experience itching some times during humid condition and this will disappear with application of topical antifungal cream like ketoconazole / clotrimazole for 7 days. Since you have lesion with itching and spreading this is the most probable diagnosis.
Usually warts occurs in clusters (Involvement of more than 1 area rather than one is more common) and hard to touch with filiform, fungating, cauliflower, or plaque like presentation. Since you presented with only one lesion with acute onset and if more lesions are developing then this raises the concern of wart..
Condyloma acuminatum is other differential diagnosis as this spread faster in immunosuppresive patients. Treatment is based on the type of lesion, involves agents that directly ablate the lesions.
Since your lesion is acute you need to observe it and if the size grows with typical elevated presentation the ablation the lesion can be done. The chance of recurrence of lesion after ablation is also present if wart or condyloma.
I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask if any further queries.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.
Regards
