Question: I am 41 I have three children 19, 18, 10. Starting in 2012 my periods have been irregular sometimes going 6 mos with no period the last stretch was 8 mos it came back in XXXXXXX 2014 with a vengeance, I have been bleeding heavily and clotting ever since. I had a D&C on Aug. 6 everything was normal no cancer but the bleeding has not stopped. I am now on birthcontrol TriNessa and I dont know what to do. I had an ovary removed in 2002 because of a large cyst it was benign and I had a tubal ligation in 2004. Please help I dont think my doctors are taking this seriously, I am anemic and I have been cramping for the past 3days.

Brief Answer:
pills for 6 months

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
In my opinion you take some good iron preparation along with birth control pills.
See if birth control pills are able to control your cycle properly in the form of amount of bleeding.
In case bleeding is lighter or your periods finish by themselves after starting a new pack then keep taking them for 6 months at least.
But if it is not controlled or gets worsen up then you might need a hysterectomy soon.
You can discuss this with me anytime on health care magic directly in future in case you have any other concern related to this.
Wish you all the best.
