Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
Since the pain occurs at rest, it is less likely to be from the heart. EKG may be done and is likely to be normal.
Most likely it is from the esophagus, either a spasm of the esophagus or a esophagitis from a gastroesophageal reflux. This would be worse if you wear tight clothes or have eaten spicy food or drank aerated or caffeinated beverages.
Eat bland wholesome healthy food, exercise 30 minutes a day and practise stress relieving techniques. While at work get up and walk a little every hour at work.
When you have this sensation drink 15 ml of Gaviscon and see if it goes off quicker.

Do get back to me if you have further queries.
