Brief Answer:
It seems like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

From your description it seems like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Though it may be something else too. Thus please upload a photo of the lesion so that I am better able to help.

I usually suggest kojic acid based cream, twice daily over the spots. Kojic acid is a skin lightening agent and is available as 2% cream/gel formulation. Vit C tablets like limcee tab can also be taken for better healing.

The treatment of hyperpigmentation is not usually satisfactory. The spots lighten themselves with time without any treatment.

Brief Answer:
A combination of antifungal and steroidal preparation

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I have seen your photos and I think it is not postinflammatory hyperpigmentation.

More suitably you will benefit from a combination of antifungal and steroidal preparation. Thus you apply zole-f ointment twice daily for 5 - 6 days and thereafter let it heal by itself. Please apply this specifically on the dry and dark area only. Do not apply on normal or infected skin i.e red or oozing pus.

If it does not get better with this please see a dermatologist.
