What Causes Plaques In The Artery Of The Heart?

Posted on Wed, 10 May 2017
Question: Hi There, I am looking for a safe supplement for removing some plaque in one artery of the heart. It Is not blocked, but is @ 40% in this one location. It is for my sister. We have been using K2, in as higher dose, and it has removed all the plaque in her corroded arteries, but some is still in this area. She is over 70 Years old, and does not want to use statins, which have caused bad side effects before. She is also taking fish oil, Curamin, which has really reduced inflammation, like high C-reactive protein levels, policosinol was just started, and GPLC form of L-Carnitine also. She walks @ 3 - 4 miles at least for to five days a week and is in good health .Hi again. I thought I would add that she is now taking a small aspirin as well. Her diet is very clean and organic. Does Not eat fast foods or processed foods and is approximately 102 Lb. in weight. The formerly taken statin had caused her liver enzymes to go up and caused her sugar profile to rise, as well as much muscle weakness and pain, but she stopped the drug, started taking Milk Thistle and increased her CuraMed ( BCM-95) and her numbers have come into normal now. She has started taking a Bluebonnet product called Cholesterice, which has Red Yeast Rice, Policosinol, Pantathine, Coq10, and plant sterinols, which I think will help also, but it has not had time to show benefits as yet. There is much debate about Statins, especially negative ones for women and older patients, and it is not a way she wants to proceed. Also, her HDL's and trigycerides are in normal ranges.

Her heart is perfectly normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic.

As per your query her heart is perfectly normal.Formation of plaques is a natural phenomenon. It starts from a age of 10 years in human.Only the plaques more then 75% are significant and need any treatment.
There is no use of taking baby aspirin also. She should keep on taking her supplements and follow a healthy life style.

Every artery has some plaque in it.Its a natural phenomenon.Only plaques greater then 75% are significant and needs treatment.

In case you need further details feel free to ask.

Hi Dr. Saxena, Thank you for the return answer concerning my sister's heart area with some plaque in one area. She was so relieved to hear your reassurance of her condition. Her cholesterol has been normally around 240ng/ml, and the Doctor here wants to give her statins, as I noted in my letter. She has received too much fear based response. However, in my research for her condition, with all the other good condition in her numbers and life style, I felt that the dangers of the drug was more than her numbers and healthy life style, especially for her age and gender. She has some arthritis pain in her hands and back, but she walks and is very active everyday, much more that most people her age. Anyway, thank you so much for your answer. If you have any other suggestions for her, we would be grateful. Thanks again!!
