default
Posted on Wed, 26 Oct 2016
Question: Whenever faced to even mild daylight or screens even with low brightness , my eyes tend to close automatically and it gets very difficult to keep them open. Also they get watery. This has been happening from the last 4 days. This phenomenon has been occurring once or twice a year from the past several years. Please help me understand the reason for this situation and also the cure.
Thanks a lot

Brief Answer:
Need eye checkup

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
We have to have a routine checkup of eyes to rule out any underlying cause.Hopefully the tests will be all normal, still we have to have this examination to rule out any inflammatory process which may result in such photophobia.
What is good that it is transient in nature and does not last too long.We may need anti inflammatory drops if signs of inflammation are found.
If there is a delay in getting the test done then Nevonac eye drop can be used thrice a day for both the eyes.
Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
