What Causes Persistent White Spot On Lips?
Question: Hi,
For the past couple months I have had a spot on my lip that I noticed was "keratizing" and the epithelial tissue was eroded, and then came back. It has a slightly white-ish look to it but very hard to see unless you know where to look with light. I showed it to the dentist twice, the second visit it had looked to be resolving and they decided not to Biopsy and assumed it was trauma related. That said, it seems to persist and is more noticeable some days more than others. Not sure If I can provide a pic but any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

I have read your query and gone through the reference report you have attached there is nothing to worry . Based on details provided and what I see it looks like Mucocele . It happens when there is trauma in minor glands present in oral cavity .
I will suggest you that it will heal in few days . Inmeantime you can try these remedies :
-Do warm saline rinses 2 to3 times a day .
-Take more citrus fruits.
-Take vitamin B supplements by consulting with local doctor .
- You can apply ointment like Triamnicinolone acetonide gel over the lesion . local application twice daily for ine week .
Also post clear pic of lesion . This pic is not clear. Awating for clear pic to comment further .
