Brief Answer:
Evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Do you have upset abdomen before the start of liquid stools or fever?
Are you losing weight earlier to it?
What is the krill oil and curcumin for? They are known to cause loose stools.

Soft non formed stools are because of gut irritation and inflammation. If the non formed stools continue for more than seven days then we should think of non infective causes in the order of importance like lactose intolerance, food allergy, coeliac, Inflammatory bowel disease(crohs or colitis) and Irritable bowel syndrome.

Since you have for six days we still have infective causes playing a role, in my opinion they are unlikely.

So my point is at this age we should rule out every cause even the grave ones. First thing is a stool microscopy and blood counts by a primary care physician. If he feel it is beyond infection then he can refer to Gastroenterologist for further evaluation.

Hope this is clear and guide you the next steps.

Dr. Parinam,
Thank you for your quick reply! The Krill oil and Curcumin are strictly Dr. Mercola maintenance vitamins (krill oil tablets = quality fish oil) (Curcumin primarily to help with knee inflammation). Intake of both were suspended last Saturday at onset of (at the time) a typical diarrhea with loose but solid stools. No, no abdomen pain, a light nausea feeling has been consistent. No noticeable fever.
I will pursue your advice about the microscopy but, since I've never been diagnosed with any of the conditions stated above could it be IBS? Our home garden vegetables have started to mature and last week we did experiment with making fresh zucchini pancakes. But once this condition started, food intake primarily bland and no more than twice a day. Sleeping fine unless awoken with need to rush to the toilet!
Thank you!
Any chance work related stress have any impact on this condition continuing? As of 4pm (CST) 7/23/16 I've counted five separate occurances with only bland (dry toast at breakfast and a few slices of ham for lunch and only water as beverage).

Brief Answer:
IBS comes later

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Good that you had stopped the oil and curcumin.
IBS is a strong possibility with work related stress factor in place.
However I would still rule out the new vegetables that you started consuming, food allergy takes priority than IBS.
Since you do not have a family history of coeliac and IBD I would check them off for now.
Avoid these vegetables for two weeks and see if there is improvement.

Thank you! The forceful liquid expulsions continued thru the night. I was able to go three hours between bathroom visits. Also quite noticeable is a color change in the fluids from the yellow brown to a very dull green - almost like pea soup.
The overall feeling of nausea still present.
With all the liquid loss do I need to address dehydration? This morning I woke to extremely painful muscle cramping in my upper thighs! Suggest something like Gatorade or Pedia-light for rehydration?
Any suggestions for food intake? No real appetite but realize fasting not beneficial.
Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Yes need to address dehydration

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If the bowel movements are so continuous it needs urgent clinic.
You should take Gatorade or Pedia light for rehydration.
It sounds to be bile acids passing in the stool.
It is not something that can be addressed.

Very concerned with your bile acids comment since bile is liver related correct?
Thank you!

Brief Answer:
More bile in the stools cause the color

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Bile helps in digestion of fat in the diet. It is not always related to liver.
Yes please let me know their comments at the local clinic and gastroenterologist.
