Cause of skin lesions

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Thank you for writing on health care magic

I have gone through the pictures you have posted. Your nails and fingers dont look in a good shape.

I would like to know a few more things here before i can guide you further:

1. How long you have been having these symptoms?are they of recent onset or have been present from before

2. Is it seasonal??

3. Did it get aggravated on exposure to some soap or detergent used?

4. Anyone in your family has a history of Psoriasis

5. Does it accompany your joint pains

6. Is it itchy

7. Any other parts of your body has such rashes

Do let me know these queries. I would like to rule out the possible cause of either contact dermatitis or psoarisis as the nails are equally affected

Await your reply

Regards
Dr Naval

Brief Answer:
Psoriasis or Contact Dermatitis

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Sorry for the late reply. I was stuck in the hospital duties. Well, at this stage it does look like contact dermatitis. If you can ask your dermatologist to take a biopsy from the elbow or do a scrap test, it can help us distinguish between psoriasis and contact dermatitis. The nail beds are rarely involved in contact dermatitis, so i am not in too favour of it.

Avoid using hard soaps and detergents for now. Try using soaps with oil in it. Keep your skin moist. Continue using the creams prescribed to you

In your next visit to dermatologist, do have a discussion if it could be psoariasis considering the joint pains you have. The treatment will differ for it and you will benefit from it as well

Do let me know for more queries
