What Causes Patch Of Large Dry Skin On Scalp?

Question: my granddaughter has a very bad patch of large dry skin in her scape and it has started to take her hair out, it get itchy and turn very red if you try to pick it out she has been to several dermatogist doctors and each give her some type of liquid of cream to apply and nothing seems to help
