What Causes Panic Attacks While On Prozac?

Question: my daughter is schizoaffective and takes vraylar, buspirone, prozac propranolol, trihexyphenidyl, tetrabenazine her prozac was increased from 20mg to 40 mg daily. she is having panic attacks(I think) sweating, tremors and says she is dying. her dr says that it is akathesia, not panic attacks. she wakes up in this state, I am exhausted, do I need to see another psychaiatist, or cut back on some of the medicine?

If this is panic rather than akathisia, I would recommend increasing her Prozac. It can be increased to as high as 80mg over time, and treats panic attacks very well. I would discuss with her doctor the potential differences between akathisia and panic and come to a firm conclusion about which this is, because they are actually very different entities.
