What Causes Palpitations And Body Pain In The Night?

Question: THi i am 40 with 3 kids. My heart starts racing for no reason keeps me awake atnight heavy heart palpitations,alot of body pains. i cant have tea coffee or sugar . I had alot of tests done stress test , eco ect, but all ok ? I feel im going to have a heart attack

I read your query and understood your concerns.

It's a good thing that all cardiac were normal (negative for cardiac disease) and you shouldn't worry about heart attack or sudden death.

Your symptoms may be related to premenopausal symptoms or GERD (gastric reflux disease or acid reflux). If you were my patient I would recommend to do:
- Abdominal ECHO
- Upper endoscopy
these are done to exclude any gastrointestinal issues.

Meantime I would suggest:
- Eat often and small portion
- Avoid eating up to 3 hours before going to sleep
- Use antacids
