What Causes Painful Bowel Movements With Blood In Stool?
Question: I have had 2 bouts of painful bowel movements. Both times, I felt a cramping pain in my abdominal first that would last about 10 to 15 seconds. Then no pain for about 10 minutes. Then the same cramping pain a little lower lasting 10 to 15 seconds. Then no pain for another 10 minutes or less. This would go on for about an hour before I finally had a bowel movement. It was dark and pasty. Not a hard stool at all and I am prone to diarrhea mores than constipation. The only way I can explain the overall painful episode was it was like labor pains. I had the second episode last night but this morning I felt like I had a loose stool only to find fresh blood in the commode but no stool.
