Brief Answer:
Looks nothing serious.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and understanding of the problems.

Let us simplify this.
Usually no complications are anticipated after 8 weeks, means 2 months.
No- bile strictures do not occur so late, they are evident far early, in the initial few days in the form of jaundice and related symptoms. So just relax if you do not have jaundice, itching, yellow urine, white stool, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite. ( Which I hope you do not have, otherwise you would have noted here).

The Pain: It is under right rib- feels like something is in there, feels a bit swollen and tender to touch.
This can possibly due to a mild infection in the abdominal wall, or a hernia or scar tenderness as you have rightly suggested , provided this is near the scar.
We have seen this in few patients of having such symptoms and the real reason may not be found. Why this occurs in few patients is not known. Another possibility is of internal adhesion of the omentum ( fat curtain- a protective organ of the abdomen) and intestines as a normal process of healing can exactly give you the feeling which you have explained.
This never needs a treatment unless there are signs of obstruction like bloating, distension, vomiting, pain in abdomen ( which again I hope you do not have as you have not mentioned).

Of course a good high resolution ultrasonography, where you have to tell the Sonologist the exact point of problem will help to get or rule out the problem.

I hope this helps you sufficiently till you get your ultrasonography done.
