What Causes Pain Right Hip And Migrated To Tailbone And Left Hip?

default
Posted on Thu, 19 Mar 2015
Question: I am at my wit's end. For five weeks I have been suffering with pain that started in my right hip and migrated around to the tailbone, then on to the left hip. Pain was stabbing, electric, aching. I went to GP and he diagnosed possible hip misalignment and ordered X-ray of pelvis (normal) Went to chiropractor for alignment which was excruciatingly painful, like the inflammation and nerves were on fire. Third week, symptoms were worst with general feeling of being unwell, low grade fever with chills. Went back to GP he thought maybe a kidney infection (normal results). Pain continues in varying degrees, some days worse than others but I have to take 600mg Motrin to control it. After a week w/o fever I started with a 99.8 fever again last night and today. I have researched and feel I could have Shingles without the rash. Commonly misdiagnosed. I am 53 yrs old and had shingles around my waist when I was 19. Thoughts?

Brief Answer:
You might be having nerve compression pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that following are the possibilities in you.
1.It can be nerve compression in the spine.
2. Shingles less likely because it remains on one side of body and nerve causes pain on left and right both side.
3.Kidney infection is also a possibility.
I would like to know little detail to give you better advise.
1. Do you have back pain?
2. Do you feel pain in whole leg or just hip? Is it also associated with tingling and numbness?
3. Do you have burning urination, increase frequency of urine?
Please send me answers of these questions.I will try my best to help you.
