Question: foot problems right foot, was aching from Big toe to heel that tendon or whatever. Now it has moved up my achiles tendon soreness started from martial arts class, ive been in 3 months, and I work mon-fri daily on feet, and end of day its aggravated, and then I got to class mon, wed, fri, sat. its getting worse, someone told me tendonitous however u spell that, could be possible but I'm not sure. I've been very athletic in the past and played Basketball and ran track, ive had shin splints and stuff and a few sprained ankles but never anything like this I've had popping during Jui Jitsu Monday and Tuesday I was ok working walking a lot, Wed i walked a lot and it started hurting, and when i went to shower before Jui jitsu class i felt a few stings from big toe to heel, went to class and was ok. Thursday took a private class for 30mins, was ok, didn't put much pressure on it. FRIDAY (today) easy class in jui jitsu, but much more tight between big toe and heel, also Achilles tendon... I don't want to hurt myself to be out of action.... docs want me to get xray but i don't need...

Brief Answer: It can be planter fascitis, Gout, Tendinosis Detailed Answer: Hello, after study of your case, it can be one of these three conditions. 1. Planter fascitis - it can be swelling and inflammation of your planter fat. As You are doing lot of marshal art, it is a strong possibility. I would suggest you to show to a orthopedics surgeon. He will be able to diagnose this. Treatment is avoiding bare foot exercises, wear a soft shoe, a steroid injection at most painful point. 2.i would keep Gout as second possibility. It is a disease in which uric acid deposited in toe, can be caused by meat, red wine. Treatment is brufen. And colchicine tablet. 3. Third possibility is of Tendinosis. MRI can dialysis. So I will suggest you these points. 1. Stop all sports for some time.. 2. Use brufen for pain relief. 3. Meet a orthopaedic surgeon, and get diagnosis. I hope this answers your queries. Let me know if I can answer any other question. Thanks and take care.

Brief Answer: Tell me what orthopaedic surgeon says Detailed Answer: I welcome your decision of showing to a orthopaedician. If you do not want to stop activities, at least avoid jumping or directly landing on toes. Also as i told you previously, make sure you have right shoes for you. Some time a new shoe can cause such tendinosis. You can discuss with me ortho surgeon's opinion. I will be happy to help you.
