Question: Hello Doctor, I am having pain in the right hand lower abdomen corner. the pain started suddenly day before yesterday while I was sitting on the chair and working. It is not a gastritis pain I only feel if when there is any movement, like if I walk or sit or get up... I assume it to be a muscle pull. I applied pain relief gel and hot pad. it got relief for some time but again the pain started. I have not taken any medicine so far. please advice

Brief Answer:
Need close watch...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Pain in the right lower abdomen needs to be careful monitored. This area is location to appendix as well as ureter and rt ovary. The pain you described could be muscular; but inflammation, stones as well cyst from these region can also be responsible for this right lower abdomen pain.

I will suggest starting pain medications like ibuprofen and rest well. But if the pain worsens or if you develop other symptoms such as fever, vomiting, burning sensation while passing urine, it needs to be treated at the earliest.

Hope this is clear. Let me know if you need clarifications.

regards
