What Causes Pain In Legs After Abortion?

Question: my friend is pregnant we had unprotected sex. she had her last period on 11 july and we had sex on 26 july and after confirming we went to gyane. docter and she had aspiration (suction) abortion on 23 august . now today she is feeling pain in legs in morning then somehow she mananged to go to office. i just wanted to ask that what are chances of complete abortion ??? i guess it was 5 week we had abortion
so what are the success rate?? do we need to go for abortion again , please tell

Following is my reply:

1) suction evacuation has more than 90 % success rate at such early pregnancy.

2) Pain in stomach she is experiencing is because the uterus is trying to get back to normal size. This is normal pain and will go off slowly.

3) You dont need to go for anymore abortions.

4) If pain persists after a week, go to same doctor who performed suction evacuation and request them to check by ultrasound scan which will show if abortion is complete.

also she was given 2 tab of misoprostol and told that it has to be taken one hour before abortion she took at 9 am and abortion was perform at around 10:45 am
. it was 5.6 week (around 40 days) from the last period so do u think the abortion is succesfull docter because the fetus size at this stage is like a seasame seed ?
so do u think that suction process and take it out
and after how many days from abortion we can do for checkup which will tell us abortion was complete or not ?
and if she perform check by prega news then it will be right /?

Suction process would have taken out the baby which is very small.

Only way to identify if abortion is complete would be by doing so ultrasound scan after 15 days of abortion.

home pregnancy test by preganews shows positive till about a month after abortion and cannot be relied upon.

Depending upon how much products are left inside medicines vary. The medicines could be misoprostol, methargin or mifepristone depending upon how many products are remaining inside.

Ultrasound scan is necessary to identify the same.
