Brief Answer:
Physiotherapy can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query I am happy to know that your mother's laminectomy surgery is successful. But you are worried about pain in the leg and not able to get up from the bed and not able to sit or stand. As she was done laminectomy operation only 22 days back, so some pain in the back, not able to get up from the bed and not able to sit or stand looks normal looking to her age. Now she need physiotherapy to regain her muscle power. For pain relief she can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Mecobalamine help in recovery of nerves. Vitamin B And C help in recovering. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I wanted to ask you that whether pain is as severe in the thigh in the left leg as was before operation or less?

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Wishing you good health.
Take care.

Thanks for the reply.
My mother is taking all the medicines given by the doctor regularly
Pain is less than before operation, but unable to manage for my mother.
In addition silicone catheter is used for urine, since she is unable to pass urine in normal way, upto how many days we can use this.
For Motion and urine control, how many days it will take to become normal after this operation and whether this is normal to have these type of problems after this operation.
we heard from so many sources that if my mother is not getting up from the bed/ stand / walk with support / after this opeartion by this time, then she may not be able to walk at all, whether this is true.
Please do clarify the above points and suggest some useful exercises/ tips for recovery of my mother.

Brief Answer:
Urine and motion control should have been normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

After going through your query and follow up query I want to that urine and motion control generally does not disturbed after this operation except for a day or two. It is difficult to predict when she will be passing urine and motion normally. Silicon catheter can be used till she is unable to pass urine normally but it can be changed every 14 days to prevent urinary infection. As pain in her leg is less as compare to before operation, her compression of nerves has been relieved. Whether she can move his lower limbs normally while lying down on bed? Can she lift her leg straight in bed? Is her toe movements are normal? What is strength of his lower limb muscle as compare to before operation ? If her muscle strength of lower limb is normal than ,after healing of her operative internal wounds healing which may take 2-3 months, she may walk normally. For exercise it is best to ask from operating surgeon as he knows the situation best. but mobilization exercises of lower limb joints is helpful. Straight leg raising while lying in bed is helpful in strengthening muscles. You can discuss with your Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.If you have no clarification then you can close the query and rate the answer.

Wishing your mother good health.
Take care.
