What Causes Pain In Foot After Wearing New Shoes?

default
Posted on Tue, 9 Sep 2014
Question: To prepare for my trip to Disney World I bought a new pair of sandles. After wearing them for a few days I felt pain in my foot, deep where the bones are. There are no marks on the skin. I have given it two weeks to heal, and standing or walking is painful. I want to be ready to walk all day at Disney - is there anything i can do?

Brief Answer:
Get investigations done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.

There are multiple causes of symptoms which you are having.

So to make exact diagnosis get xray of heel done Lateral view, serum uric acid levels, E.S.R, C.R.P levels and send me the report.

Some patients develop plantar fasciitis after wearing new pair of shoes or sandals.

Till then you should wear sport shoes in place of sandals.

Try to avoid prolong standing ans walking as much as you can.

Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.

Do stretching exercises for foot as upload on youtube.

You can take aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside by prescription of your local doctor.

I hope it helps.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
