What Causes Pain And Tenderness On Shoulder?

Question: I got injured at work I was lifting something and my shoulder felt like it popped/ripped. I had xray nothing mri says some fluid and some degeneration. I also have been doing pt. I still feel pain and tenderness in my shoulder. also aggravating pain in my upper bicep right below my shoulder

Thank for your query.

It seems that you have suffered a sprain of muscles around shoulder during lifting weight. Such sprain usually takes 2-3 weeks to resolve.

Give enough rest to your shoulder and arm muscle. Avoid workout and lifting weights with the arm till acute pain subsides completely.
Analgesic and anti inflammatory medicine as advise by your doctor.
Hot compresses to your arm will be useful pain relieving measure. You may apply a local analgesic gel to the area.

this happened in july I was at work lifing something not lifting weights. I had an mri w/o XXXXXXX it seemed normal they said. but I disagree im still having pain. and it fells different than my left shoulder. it just isn't right.
