What Causes Orange Colour In Urine And Acid Reflux?
Question: What does it mean when the urin is orange tinted and the stool is a rusted color and I have a bad feeling in my stomach and have bad acid reflux?

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM). Orange coloured urine may be due to some liver or bile duct disease or due to concentrated urine. Rusted stool may be due to some blood in stool or diet intake. Both appears unrelated to each other. So I will suggest you to visit to your doctor who will examine you and may advise some tests like complete haemogram, liver functions tests, urine and stool examination and an ultrasound to reach to the diagnosis. For acid reflux:
1.Avoid fatty meals
2. Don’t lie down soon after meals for at least two hour
3.Take small and frequent meals, instead of full meals at a time
4. wear loose clothes
5. If you are overweight or obese do weight reduction with dieting and exercise
Among the medications:
1. take domperidone it acts not only as a prokinetic agent but it also increase the tone of lower esophageal sphincter
2. A proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole
This combination I found very useful in my patients with reflux disease
