Brief Answer:
Please provide more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

It is necessary to provide some more information about your symptoms such is it all the left arm feeling numb, or a part/band of it, is the hand and fingers affected partially or totally by numbness, any weakness of the arm/hand, any other health issues?

Conditions that may cause left arm numbness include stroke, nerve compression, impaired arm blood supply etc.

Awaiting for more information.....

My arm is numb from the arm socket down to the wrist. It also feels tingly - especially in the bicep muscle, forearm and wrist. I have type 2 diabetes,
Had two back operations for herniated discs - last one in 2001. I
Currently have 4 herniated discs - MRI done 2years ago - L4, 3, 2 & S1. I had a gastric bypass done on 7/6/15. Since then I've lost 72 lbs and have been feeling well, am
Much more active. Lately I have been sweeping my deck and front pathway and power washing same. This is much more physical activity than is usual for me. So far my fingers are tingly but not numb. The arm in question is my left and I am right handed. I don't really notice any weakness but the numbness & tingling is not constant but it happens several times a day while I'm up. Don't notice it when I
am in bed

Brief Answer:
Herniated disc disease of cervical spine.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back and thanks for the clarifications.

In this case, in my opinion, two are the main conditions that is necessary to be considered:
1. cervical spine herniated disc disease

2.low vitamin B12 levels

It is necessary to measure blood levels of vitamin B12 and to have imaging studies of your cervical spine done ( MRI ) in order to achieve a correct diagnosis.

Discuss with your primary care Doctor about these tests to be ordered.

Hope I helped you.

Greetings.
