default
Posted on Sat, 9 Jan 2016
Question: Yes, I have numbness in the fingertips of both hands. Long in the past I broke both elbows and one has always had a little pain ever since. That is my left elbow and there appears to be more numbness n my left hand. I also regularly drive a motorcycle if that has any bearing.

I have no other disease history other than common colds or flu and may have a slight cold right now.
I have noticed the symptoms over the last two weeks or so, primarily around the middle finger of my right hand and increasing discomfort in my left elbow. All symptoms seemed to be greater last night and riding the motorcycle to work this morning.
We typically have a glass of wine with dinner and have for several years.

Brief Answer:
Physical examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

I need to mention after considering all details, that your symptoms do not appear to fit into a specific disease etiology.

Its hard to comment upon the significance of numbness in right middle finger at the moment because,it may be just be due to a non-organic(anxiety/psychogenic) etiology and may improve after some days or it may be indicative of some nerve damage.I suggest you to undergo physical examination by a physician,if this symptom persists for long.
Left elbow pain should also be examined by a physician, and assessed if it is a joint related or soft tissue pathology.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
