Brief Answer:
Problem could be the jaw also

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXX

Thank you for posting your question on Health Care Magic.

The numbness you are feeling around the ear could be due to the temperomandibular joint or the jaw to be precise .

Do you grind your teeth ? If so, I request you to wear a teeth guard while sleeping .
Please take any anti-inflammatory pill like Diclofenac sodium 75mg twice daily after food for next 2-3 days, provided you don't have any allergy to it. You need to see a dentist soon for a detailed examination of the area.

Let me know if you've any further queries.

Dr Haleema
