Question: 27 year old healthy athletic male that had a adjusment done on the neck and back by a chiropractor. Since the adjustment I have had numbness and weakness on the left side of my bodying, including left eye, face, arm, hand, leg, feet, and my private area has not been the same, its feel impotent. I had an MRI done at the neck and nothing was found. As of now I just started physical therapy but nothing has helped. Does anyone know what this can be?

Brief Answer:
Mostly hemiplegia of left side of body.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query I concluded that you got hemiplegia of left side of body because whole body is involved including face and eye. Furthermore your neck MRI is normal and involvement of face suggest that you may have lesion in brain. To rule out this you need to do CT SCAN and MRI of brain to differentiate between embolism and hemorrhage as treatment of both is different. Most likely according to symptoms it may be embolism. Till CT scan and MRI is done you will got some benefit from Mecobalamine. Active and passive mobilization of body joints are advised to prevent stiffness. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Wishing you good health.
Take care.
